John Dramani Mahama held fruitful discussions with Terrance Michael Drew, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, on the second day of the Prime Minister’s official visit to Ghana.
The meeting focused on strengthening diplomatic relations and exploring opportunities for cooperation between the two nations. Both leaders emphasized the importance of reconnecting historical and cultural ties between Africa and the Caribbean.
President Mahama reflected on the painful legacy of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, noting that although it severed physical ties between people of African descent, it could not erase their shared identity.
“What geography once divided, history now compels us to bring back together,” Mahama stated, highlighting the need for renewed partnerships and collaboration between Ghana and Caribbean nations.
The discussions are expected to further deepen friendship, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation between Ghana and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
