Actor Harry Dean Stanton, who crafted characters in classic films such
as "Godfather: Part II," "Cool Hand Luke" and "Pretty in Pink," has
died at 91.
Stanton died Friday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles,
TMZ reported. A cause of death was not immediately identified.
More recently he had played in the revival of "Twin Peaks" released
this summer, as well as the yet to be released Frank Sinatra movie
"Frank and Ava."
Stanton, born in Kentucky in 1926, was raised in the Bluegrass State
before serving with the Navy in World War II and fighting in the
Battle of Okinawa, according to KET
