The Government of Ghana has announced that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has pledged a donation of US$250,000 (approximately GH₵3 million) to support victims affected by the recent devastating floods across the country.
According to the government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially been notified of the donation and has assured the public that the full amount will be transferred to support the flood victims immediately after the funds are received.
The Government of Ghana expressed profound gratitude to ECOWAS for the timely gesture, describing it as a demonstration of solidarity, unity, and genuine African compassion during a difficult period.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability in the management of the donated funds.
